Burleigh Manor History
Burleigh Manor, located in the historic old mill town of Ellicott City, Maryland, was constructed in 1802. In addition to a Federal-style manor house, the property also features the original stone smokehouse and gatehouse, a 1940s bathhouse, a wine cellar, and a cemetery. A modern clubhouse and barn were added in the past decade.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, Burleigh Manor was built by Colonel Rezin Hammond for his grandnephew, Denton. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome at Burleigh Manor.
It’s a wonderful place for youth organizations, church groups, or business teams to learn, grow, and bond with one another.
